What you are paying for
One tap instead of a code
Without Poftim+, every transfer starts the same way: one device shows a QR code, the other scans it. That is the right design for sending something to a friend, and a chore when it is your own laptop, four times a day.
Poftim+ lets two devices remember each other after one ordinary QR connection. From then on, your devices appear in a list and one tap opens the connection. Nothing else about the transfer changes: same encryption, same direct route, same speed.
What it changes
How a connection starts between devices you own — a name in a list instead of a code on a screen, for up to five of them.
What it does not
Speed, size and privacy. Transfers are not faster or larger, and the encryption is identical — there is no weaker tier to upgrade away from.
The person you send to does not need Poftim+. If you save a friend as a device, they can answer your connection on the free version — one subscription covers the pairing for both sides.
It also does not store your files. Nothing does. Poftim has no cloud storage on any plan, so a subscription buys convenience between your own devices, not capacity or retention. If that is not worth a few euro to you, the free version is not crippled and is not going to nag you.
